Ryerson Mini-Workshop



Thursday, October 27th, Ryerson University, 9-3:30 in conjunction with the CWRC2 Space/Place/Play Conference

The workshop features a range of visualization tools, including Voyeur/Voyant in the morning and Jeremy Boggs and Bethany Nowviskie on Omeka and Neatline in the afternoon.

8:30 Coffee and continental breakfast

9:00-9:30 Introduction to CWRC, introduction of participants

9:30-10:15 Visualization Voyant tools (Stéfan Sinclair); you can bring your own texts to play with!

10:15-10:30 Break

10:30-12:30 Visualization (Stan Ruecker, Susan Brown): Mandala, Degrees of Separation, Breadboard, Ovis, continued play

12:30-1:30 Lunch (provided)

1:30-3:30 Introduction to Omeka collections platform + Neatline plugin for visualization and interpretation of collections on timelines and maps (Jeremy Boggs and Bethany Nowviskie)

4:00 Space/Place/Play begins
