British Women Writers Conference 2016

Screenshot 2016-08-28 15.26.45BWWC 2016 will be held in Athens, Georgia, on June 2-5 2016. It will be hosted by the University of Georgia campus. Speakers will focus on women’s writing from the 18th and 19th  centuries.

The topic of this year’s BWWC is “Making a Scene” — papers and panels will include topics such as “writing scenes, scenes of the mind, landscapes, political demonstrations, courtroom outbursts, and performance more generally” (Home).

Keynote speakers are Ros Ballaster, Gillian Russel, and the Orlando Project’s Susan Brown, and Kathryn Holland.

Orlando workshop will be held as a part of the Conference on June 2nd, in which participants will be introduced to this interactive textbase, and talk about the future of Orlando Project. Previous experience in digital humanities is not necessary for participation in this workshop.
