“Language as Spaces, Translation as Play: Moving (Through) Languages”

Lori Saint-Martin is an award-winning author, translator, and professor. Her translation of Last Notes and Other Stories by Tamas Dobozy (HarperCollins, 2007) won the 2007 Governor General’s Literary Award for French translation. With Paul Gagné, she has translated The White Girl by Joan Clark (Boréal, 2002) and In the Belly of a Hyena by Nega Mezlekia (Leméac/Actes Sud, 2001). She is the author of The Traveler and the Prisoner: Gabrielle Roy and Women’s Issues (Boréal, 2002).
